Why Connect Intercessors with Kingdom Leaders?
An intercessor is someone who “stands in the gap” for others. We often call them armour bearers. The Bible uses these metaphors to describe the role of an intercessor or Prayer Warrior; Ezekiel 22:30, Isaiah 62:6-7, Psalm 106:23, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 15:30. These individuals possess a specific spiritual gift for prayer, playing an essential role in providing strategic guidance, revelation, and protection for the Body of Christ. The Apostle Paul, builder of the early Church, personally testified to his dependency on his prayer teams. In Philippians 1:19 and 2 Corinthians 1:9-11, he credits the intercession of others as the catalyst for his guidance, strength and deliverance.
Landscape of the Modern Calling
Today, whether in formal ministry, or serving God in the marketplace, leaders who step out in faith, are facing spiritual and emotional pressures on an unprecedented scale. We believe the Holy Spirit is raising up a generation of visionaries and stewards to play a key role in advancing the Kingdom of God in the USA, ushering in the next revival, and helping God’s people take the gospel to nations. Believers living in countries where Christianity is illegal, have forged a faith through persecution and trials like the faith describes in 1 Peter 1:7. This faith is worth more than gold because it has been refined like gold in the fires of suffering. We need the most powerful gift the Persecuted Church can give us, their faith through prayer, learned in the crucible of desperation!

Many of our intercessors cannot find consistent work because of persecution or social crisis and war in their country. Project 114 offers them some financial support to help put food on the table.
“I am Allania from Pakistan. Our family prays for many hours a week for our entrepreneur partners. Our neighbour hates us because we are Christians. He found out that we have a church in our home. So one day he took a bulldozer and destroyed part of our house. Thankfully we were not at home at the time. We are very grateful because our partners helped us with some of the costs to rebuild our home. ”
“I am Pastor Daudi from Democratic Republic of Congo. We live in a violent area for Christians. I lost my job as a teacher because of my faith. We pray for three hours every day for our entrepreneur partners. We are excited to see what God is doing in the lives of our partners through prayer. There has been a long drought here.
